Chair Diane Fisher on the Positive Effects of Ceesay Nursery School

We’re nearly there! Our crowdfund campaign is almost complete. In just a month we’ve raised $5248, our total goal being $6000. In just two weeks from now we will be in the Gambia filming the school’s grand opening.

Thanks so much to all of those who’ve donated. Please watch this video of our chair Diane Fisher talking about the positive effects our efforts and the school has for the children in Serrekunda, and help us cross the finishing line of our crowdfunding campaign!

Why We Volunteer To Help Ceesay Nursery School

Our volunteers get involved with helping Ceesay Nursery School for a whole range of reasons. Web manager Will Marlow has been working with the group for three years and is heading out to the Gambia for the first time in December, finally getting to meet the children and teachers he has helped support.

Here he talks about what he’s looking forward to about the trip and what he gets out of working with chair Diane Fisher and her team.

Sky News’ Kay Burley Chats to Us about Building Ceesay Nursery School

Ceesay Nursery School and the volunteer work that goes into supporting it has got its most high profile coverage yet, thanks to Sky News presenter Kay Burley taking a shine to our promotional music video.

After she saw the video on Twitter, Kay Burley asked if she could feature the school and charity on her news show on Sky. Star of the video Daz Sims and school project manager Gabriel Mendy spoke to Kay about the school, the children it supports, and our project to build a permanent building.

The coverage comes after the successful launch of our crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the final leg of our school build project for Ceesay Nursery School. You can find out more about the campaign and contribute on our crowdfund page.
